Arizona 70.3 Race Recap

There is something about pushing yourself to the absolute limit that just brings everything back to perspective. It has been about a week since I toed the line for the first official time since CdA 70.3 in 2019 at Ironman Arizona 70.3. This was my first time participating at this race and it was SOOO much fun!!!! I think really what it came down to was just enjoying the fact that I was racing again and racing to my potential and I am so thankful for the chance to have gotten to race!!!

A Recap of 5x100 Miles on the Bike in a Week

The week of August 3rd I partook on a self made challenge of completing 500 miles on the bike in a week structured as five 100 mile rides, so 100 miles done on five different days. This challenge arose after Ironman Wisconsin was cancelled. My coach texted me asking if there was any challenge I was in the mood for completing in lieu of the race being cancelled. I learned a lot during those five days and wanted to share a couple of the biggest learnings with you.

⚡️Motivation and discipline are totally different.
⚡️You can do hard things.
⚡️Letting go of your data and expectations is very freeing.
⚡️Hard things are totally worth it.

[WYFTY Triathletes] The Where Your Feet Take You Challenge Week

One of the things we did as a team back in March when the first wave of shut downs really happened was a little Green Challenge week in which athletes were challenged to be all green in Training Peaks and then we would have a little drawing. 3 Step Reset Ritual to Bring You Back to Present when Thrown Off Your Game

[Strength Session] Full Body with some HIIT Mix

Sometimes strength sessions can get a little bit boring… you shouldn’t be bored with this one as it has a little bit of everything. We start the session with some core activation as we warm up we then move into some higher intensity work and finish it off with some compound work using dumbbells and kettlebells.

Equipment Needed

Kettlebell and/or Dumbbell
Stability Ball
Step up or riser
Yoga mat is nice to have
If you don’t have the specific equipment you can modify with other items and even just do things with body weight.
