August 28, 2015 A DAY OF LOVE, HAPPINESS, AND JOY
There are those days in your life that you will always remember, becoming Mrs. Bowker is one for me that will always be one of the greatest days of my life.
When people say that your wedding day goes fast yet will also feel like one of the longest days weren't joking. I can not imagine a day that went faster yet left me more exhausted (I have not had children yet so I imagine that another day like this is in the future).
So yes, the day flew with more emotions that I could ever imagine coursing through my blood. Yet despite the quickness, emotions, and bit of being over whelmed it was the greatest, most love filled, beautiful, and perfect day.
There is so much I could say about our wedding day but the main thing is that on August 28, 2015 at 5:00 pm I had the chance to experience more love than I have yet to feel and to marry my best friend with all of our friends and family to support us; it was a magical day. It turned out to be the perfect day (though in truth it could have poured rain it still would have been perfect for me) the light drizzle cleared up, temperature was perfect, and even the smoke that had plagued our side of the nation cleared to a manageable level.
I think the hardest part of the day for me was that I spent the majority of it not being with Brandon. When my emotions are all over the place his presence keeps me from feeling as though I will implode. It was all I could do to wait till our first looks at 3 pm, and when the time finally came it took the photographer's insistence (in order to capture the moment) to prevent me from running out there to see him. The second I did all got quiet, all got calm, and all stress melted away because I finally with my best friend, finally in the arms of my teammate and soon to be husband. I want to thank all the amazing people that not only made this day happen but also who came to support, cheer, and celebrate with Brandon and myself. I believe Brandon and I calculated that we had people from somewhere around 8 different states ranging from the west coast to the east. It is hard to express in words the extreme gratitude and love Brandon and I felt on that day for all those who shared the day with us! The weeks leading up to the wedding people prepped me to be ready for things to go wrong, not as planned, or totally forgotten and while there probably was something that didn't go exactly as planned I honestly can't think of any because in my mind the day turned out to be EXACTLY what I imagined, better than I believed, and all around PERFECT!! Ceremony started almost right on time (which was important to me hahaha), dinner was delicious, dessert was AMAZING, weather perfect, drinks satisfying, and everyone danced the night away leaving Brandon and myself feeling loved, celebrated, happy, and exhausted! :)
While I will always be Kayla Lloyd because that is who I was born to be I am beyond joyed to be Mrs. Kayla Bowker and married to the kindest, most loving man.
